What this site stores on your device, what it counts, and how to change your choice.

Analytics: what is counted

We run our own very small analytics script (/t.js) on our own server. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It works on two levels:

  • Basic page counts (no choice needed). When a page opens, the script sends the page address, the website you came from (host name only), your screen width band and language, and the date. No IP address or browser details are stored and nothing identifies you. Our basis is legitimate interests: it is a low-impact count of our own pages that carries no personal data, and it is how we know the site works. The script sends nothing if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, if it is an automated browser, or if the request looks like a crawler.
  • Interaction analytics (only if you accept). If you press “Accept analytics”, the script also reports which tagged buttons and links you use, together with a visitor id. The id is a one-way hash of your IP address and browser details mixed with a random value that is replaced and destroyed every day. It can tell us that the same visitor came back later the same day, not that they came back tomorrow. Our basis is your consent, which you can withdraw below.

All analytics data is deleted after 400 days. Nothing is shared with advertisers or sold. Cloudflare’s own network statistics, which we may look at in the Cloudflare dashboard, are separate and come from hosting the site.

Third parties

Some content comes from other companies. Your browser contacts them directly when a page loads, so they see your IP address and browser details: Google Fonts (the typefaces) and Unsplash (some pictures on the case studies page). We do not set cookies for them. If you would rather avoid this, use a browser setting or extension that blocks third-party requests; the site stays readable.

Your choices

Open the banner again at any time with the button below, or with “Cookie settings” in the footer. You can also delete site data and cookies in your browser settings; the portal will then ask you to sign in again and this site will ask for your choice again.
